New SIFO-survey on effectiveness and harmony at work
Big difference between the Nordic countries
What is most important to be effective and harmonious on the job? According to a new study there are large differences between what residents in the Nordic countries think.
For the Norwegians the most important is a nice and stylish working environment (55%), closely followed by clean offices (54%). For the Danes functioning office equipment is the most important (64%), while the Swedes believe it is especially important with health care (65%). The maximum score is measured in Finland. As much as 88% of the Finns believe that the work environment is the most important.
The differences between the Nordic countries are obvious in other aspects as well. For example, the Danes appreciate good coffee the most, almost twice as much as the Norwegians and Swedes. Norway is, however, the country where you most appreciate free fruit, more than twice as much as the Finns.
SIFO was commissioned by the Facility Management company Addici to examin what is most important to be effective and harmonious on the job. More than 3300 randomly selected people in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland had to state the three things they think are most important to be effective and harmonious on the job. This study is aimed to help companies prioritize which office services that are important to develop.
- Increasingly, companies have operations in multiple countries, says Jens Rodman, Business Area Manager at Addici. The results of our study show that an employer must take into account different needs and opinions depending on which country it operates in. It is important to know staff requirements in order to create the most effective and harmonious workplace.
